Photographer Rights
I got a lot of good feedback on my post last week regarding taking pictures of airplanes and the control tower at the SeaTac airport. As I started looking around regarding the issue, I noticed there is quite a bit of coverage around the topic right now. As it turns out, I should NOT have given the man my business card. I was also under no obligation to tell him what I was taking pictures of. See this article in the UK Guardian from a couple of weeks ago.
Also handy - and now in my bookmarks - an attorney in Portland who has published a convenient little cheet sheet on a photographers rights. Which is now neatly folded into my camera bag.
